There is apparently 'outrage' at this idea. Whether there is or not, what are our views on this idea? If it can be made to work efficiently, I can't see the problem.

I think it is an excellent idea.
A swimming pool for romances and Valentine's day.

"Light your fire" and a free box of 'Matchmakers' chocloates.

Must say the concept is relative-ly sick.....
Heating a swimming pool is a grave mistake.
lol Mcm

wouldn;t bother me, can;t see why people are getting upset about it!
So life imitates art.....I think the idea of recycling crematoria energy was first given an airing by Aldous Huxley in 'Brave New World'.
Look, we can't even recycle the heat that River Island pumps onto high streets all around the country, so I'm not scared of anyone coming up with a joined-up answer on this one.
Can´t see what all the fuss is about.

When I die, they can "harvest" whatever organs are appropriate, bung me in the furnace and my mistress would say...."there goes my old flame"
...and he was all hot air anyway!!!! boom boom
Have you left your 'bits' to science then Sqad ?
what.the...LOL
I didn't think they had use for bits 'that big'
Just before the cremation, the undertaker came up to the very elderly widow and asked, "How old was your husband?" "98," she replied. "Two years older than me." "So you're 96," the undertaker commented. She responded, "Hardly worth going home is it?"
Waste not, want not. I think I'd like to feel my carcase had been useful after I've kicked the bucket.

Oh dear, if we've reached the stage of rubbish jokes and attempts at humorous remarks, the thread's run its course.

Cue "the thread's dead, it should be cremated" and "it's run out of steam" type comments.
has no one seen the Lion King!?? It's all the circle of life anyway, kind of!
I say cut out the middle man fill swimming pools with a fast acting chemical & pop the corpses in then turn crematoriums into leisure centres.Ron.

prt synopsis--it gives us a nightmarish vision of an over-populated, polluted future on the brink of collapse--a vision that gets uncomfortably closer every year.
