/// Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid defended the stoning.///

/// He told the BBC: 'Anyone who knows about Islam knows that stoning is in the Koran, and that it is Islamic law.///

/// 'There are people who call it inhuman - but in doing so they insult the Prophet. They want to bring foreign thinking to this country.' ///

And we all know it's wrong to bring foreign thinking into countries, don't we?

What does he think of Women Linesmen?

The taleban are foreign. Their thinking is based on a 1300 year old book. To the rest of the world, they are barbaic.

Indians are foreign. Their thinking is NOT baded on a 1300 year old book. They are enlightened when compared to the Taleban

Polish people are foreign. Their thinking is based on a 2000 year old book, but their interpretation of it is not barbaric.

Therefore, it is not correct to base all foreigners by the actions of the Taleban.
"who knows about Islam knows that stoning is in the Koran"

anyone know if it is? i thought it wasn't. plenty of lashings and floggings and stuff, but not stoning (rajm). it might be in hadiths and whatnot but thats not the quran.

its certainly in leviticus.

Therefore, it is not correct to base all foreigners by the actions of those who follow the teachings of the Koran.

And I do not.
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.(Leviticus 20:13 KJV)

Justice in the Bible seems clear enough.
AOG, are you saying you agree with the Taliban notion that it's wrong to bring foreign thinking into this country or you disagree and we should welcome foreign thinking into this country? I'm not grasping your point.
Have any of you here ever read the Holy Quran? I see all these debates and arguments going on and wondered...

Nobody remarked on the fatwa yet?
if you answer my question I might!
Seriously confusing post, as detailed by pa_____ul3.

However, there's an interesting comparison. The Bible condones the murder of gays, and in certain countries, it's still punishable by death (together with certain Muslim countries).

Tis a pity that religious freaknuts can use ancient texts to commit murder in the name of God/Allah.
Muslims have been done to death..........give it a rest.

What caught my attention was the number of Afghans watching and in agreement with the stoning. That is their way of life and bringing armed forces to alter their way of life is pointless. We should let them get on with their barbaric ways as there is nothing we can do about it.

Don't put the blame on Anglicans and Catholics on what goes off in another backward country such as Uganda.
