Shame they dont stick two fingers up to EU, ECHR etc and all its other offshoots about the bigger issues like the Lisbon treaty etc.

At the end of the day as much as I agree to not giving prisoners the vote, on the scale of things its pretty insignificant

This dictat would have been the least of our worries in the big picture of unification and the wished for but always denied superstate

lol ... Well that report missed out one thing ... the DNA records of people who have not been charged or convicted can still be retained, at the request of the police, on "national security grounds" according to a news report on Radio 4 earlier today.

And as all this stuff is on computers, the cynic in me wonders if someone will be keeping a backup of the unexpurgated database somewhere ...
