How does security on the journey works ?

Does he have a couple of F-35 Lightning , as outriders , acompanying him ?

With the size of the US navy they will probably have one or two aircraft carriers placed so that he can have a fighter escort. When he gets near Europe they have bases in Germany and over here so he need not be alone for long.
