Joan Collins was seen swanning around with Robert Kilroy-Silk...but that was when he was in the UKIP! Billy Bragg is - or was - a Labour activist. (Why can't I think of a single one that has anything to do with the Tories? There must be one, surely!)
Wasn't Jim Davidson a Tory supporter ? Sean Connery is a big supporter of the Scottish Nationalists, despite living abroad!!!!!!!!!

I can't imagine any celeb would find an association with a political party in this country profitable.

I think in 97 three was a certain coolness to being associated with a fresh new government overturning the Tory establishment but now after Tony Blair's little Iraq escapade and with Michael-"Poll Tax"- Howard leading the Tories - well you'd have to be pretty comitted wouldn't you?

It's pretty standard that musicians and bands are socialists, but there are odd exceptions. the Spice Girls all declared themselves Thatcherites, and Phil Collins was heard to opine that he'd emigrate if Labour won the election.

David Bowie and Eric Clapton have both made ill-advised observations about ethnic minorites, although in their defence, both were firmly under the influence of strong narcotics at the time.

hang on Andy...the Spice Girls (actually I think it was just big gob Geri) basically said they admired Thatcher's achievements as a woman in a male-dominated world, which is not the same as saying that they support her political party. I can't see Mel C being able to walk around Liverpool if she'd come out as a Tory. Fuller, Chapman et al made them steer well clear of actually declaring their politics, not that i'm sure they had strong opinions. Didn't Paul Daniels also promise to emigrate if Labour got in? We're still waiting old chap, go join Collins in Switzerland
Richard 'I don't believe it' Wilson is a big Labour Party man. Sandi Toksvig is a prominent supporter of the Lib Dems. The Tories had loads in the 80's, Frank Bruno, Kenny Everett, Jim Davidson for example, but don't appear to have any now, and no wonder.
I dont think that Damon Albarn has much time for the Bliars and his war mongering types.

Personally i don't care a jot what  political parties 'celebrities' support or what self important ***** they spout, its like the media, they try their hardest to try to influence the public to support the views [mostly right wing ] their owners and editors want us to hold, with their ridiculous overblown scare stories, based mostly on exgarrated reports, with probably 20% truth contained in them. none of it will affect my vote, and i'm pretty sure a lot of others as well, although no doubt there are quite a few gullible souls out there and with an election looming, i suppose we will have the usual if labour wins blah blah, or if the tories win blah blah...  cannot wait for after the election and we can get back to normality, that means all us lot whinging about pm blair or pm howard, and what a **** job they are doing.

Before they split up the boy band Busted said they were tories.

They didn't like Labour because now they were rich they didn't want to pay tax.

Whoever said rock is dead?
