When I was growing up, we didn’t know the meaning of the word ‘Poverty’.

My parents could not afford to buy a dictionary.

The kids next door to me when I was a Kid had nothing for xmas, didn't even put a few decorations up, we were quite poor but these poor kids got nothing. I used to feel really sorry for them.
It was a few years later that I found out they were Jehova Witnesses.

We were so poor.

Our neighbours , the Wests, had guests for Christmas.

We only had turkey.
