A group of theatre students decided it would be fun to train a flock of chickens to perform Hamlet.
After many hours of practice, it was time for opening night and the first performance.
Sadly, just as the first patrons were starting to arrive, a group of police officers arrived and closed the theatre.
The police department would make no official statement as to why the action was taken, but some officers commented privately that fowl play was suspected.
Bet they had egg on their faces after that, and that's no yolk! Still, I'm sure it was all white and they came out of their shell again. Audiences were flocking to see the performance, tickets were going cheep! In the end the students had to wing it. A real feather in their cap -- took some pluck!
