Political Assassination
Two assassins had been hired to kill a prominent politician as he arrived for work. The two monitored the politician’s daily movements for three months and observed that he was extremely punctual, always arriving at his office at 9 a.m. precisely.
So on the day of the hit they made their way to the roof-top of the building opposite his office at 8:45 a.m. and waited for him to show.
By 9:15, there was still no sign of him showing – the would-be assassins were growing anxious.
‘I can’t understand it.’ said one. ‘He’s never been as much as a minute late before.’
‘It’s very odd’, agreed the other. ‘I hope nothing’s happened to him.’
