I have reviewed your methods and I feel some minor alterations could be made to increase efficiency.

Next time an Egg person injures himself falling from a wall.

Instead of sending all of your horses to try and repair it, shoot them and have them turned into glue.

Then send your men to repair the egg with the glue.

Quite frankly I'm not surprised that the King's horses found it difficult to put the parts together - those hooves are so clumsy.
