Rejected - By A Charity Shop!
27 Answers
Struggled to get a large glass 3 tier tv unit in to the car, took it to large charity shop that accepts furniture - and they refused to accept it.
Even though it is perfect, with black glass and shiny legs, these things just don't sell anymore.
Don't know why I'm surprised - I hate the blerdy thing :D
What to do with it is the question.
Have you ever been rejected by a charity shop?

Like all shops, Charity shops have only limited space ! They can't be lumbering themselves with stuff they know will never sell ! It uses up space that could be used for stuff that WILL sell !
I used to work in a Charity shop. We got offered 100s of things that we knew would simply NEVER sell ! I had to keep explaining that we had rent and rates to pay , so we had to make a profit ! A lot of people seemed to think of us as a free dumping ground for rubbish to save them a trip to the 'Tip' ! One lady tried to give us a huge load of part full sticky jam jars ! She got very annoyed when I told her we could not accept them !
