Your first ever boyfriend or girlfriend? Mine was called Jonathon..... I remember my mum going mad because he turned up at my house one day with a watch he’d bought for me - was pretty expensive, and he was only 14!
Then bizarrely about 3 months ago he tracked me down on FB. He owns his own company, is pretty well off, married with kids, just wanted a catch up... but was so so odd looking at him as a 40’odd year old when I hadn’t seen him since he was a teenager lol.
I was 5 and his name was Scott Douglas. He was the love of my life for about a year then a new girl arrived on the scene and became his girlfriend - Sandra Campbell grrrrr. Funny how I can remember things from over 60 years ago but no idea what I had for lunch yesterday.
First real grown up boyfriend at 16. He was 21. I never did like boys of my own age! His name was Taff (Trevor) and I remember him fondly. Most of the time we had together was with his group of mates. A great bunch of guys. Fun time and a bit wild.
This was not my first boyfriend but this guy was utterly gorgeous, long blond curly hair and he knew it. We informally dated but lost touch when I left the area. We got back in touch through mutual friends on FB . OMG! I had not laid eyes on him for 20 odd years. He's an ugly so and so who married a girl half his age and is now bald as a coot with a beer belly. Still did not stop him trying to get me on a date -Yuk! Lucky Escape!
I did have a boyfriend right through primary school - David. We were inseperable! As we got older we used to go to park after school Then i passed ny 11 plus and he didn't, so different schools, I remember being really upset.
The first boy I ever fell in love with (or thought it was love!) was called Dave White. We were both only 16 and we dated for about three months and it was all so innocent. We had a date one night and I turned up at our usual spot and he never came. I waited for ages after bus after bus came and went without him on it. I can remember the feeling of heartbreak still and thought the world had ended! I saw him about eight years later and didn't recognise him, he came up to me and introduced himself. In those eight years he had put on loads of weight and had horrid yellow teeth! I said to him something like "wow I had a lucky escape" and walked away. It felt good.
