Biker Witness
A biker appeared in court to testify on behalf of a friend.
The prosecuting lawyer asked him, ‘Isn’t it true that you have been paid £5,000 to throw this case?’
The biker calmly ignored the question, staring blankly into space.
After getting no response the lawyer thundered ‘I said, isn’t it true that you have been paid £5,000 to throw this case? - at which the bike continued to ignore him.
The judge, seeing that the biker was not answering the question, leaned over and said to the biker ‘You must answer the lawyer’s question.’, to which the biker replied, ‘Oh, sorry your honour, I thought he was talking to you.’
