Yes I know. It was getting a bit sad and heated on another thread so I decided to ,hopefully, lighten things up a bit. It ain't all doom and gloom on here is it. :-)
my local council have chiseled slots into theirs 2 meters apart

yes they have set the benchmarks

Am I Right ?
I'm Not Wrong !
There's always time and space for a bit of a laugh.
Set apart from anything I've seen!
Sterling stuff Retro. You are not wrong about the sad and heated either. The joke is mind that those who are displaying the most sad and heated tendencies are from places that relish their independence and separation from England but can't help but be "concerned" about what happens there.

Too true Togo.
I like that ;o)
Where do you put your sandwiches and flask?
I put mine in my fishing bag Tills.
Where do you put the bench then?
I have my own, self isolating, luxury seats that can be sited the statutory 2mtrs apart after folding into ......well... chair shaped relaxation pods. This is one I made earlier.

...and the young lady in the underwear sits where?
Firstly Tills she doesn't wear underwear. Secondly she is in there with me playing with my "flies". She is however extremely "distant" socially.
Pfft!
Togo, have you read The Compleat Angler by Issac Walton?
Izaak Walton!
Isaac Walton Tills. I'm not that old you know. Written in 1886 and an old copy will set you back about £4k. Have seen a reprint many years since but the early ones had wonderful hand drawn illustrations I am led to believe. More a guide to Anglican clergy than anglers back in the day Tills. They used to eat coarse fish back then you know. Never try it. Like mud filled with needle bones.
