The Buggy Rider
A woman was driving her buggy to town when a patrol officer stopped her.
"I'm not going to book you," he said, "but I just wanted to warn you that your rear reflector is broken and it could be dangerous."
"I thank thee," replied the lady. "I shall have my husband repair it as soon as I return home."
"And also," said the officer, "I noticed one of the reins is wrapped around your horse's testicles. Some people might consider this cruelty to animals, so you should have your husband check that too."
"Again I thank thee. I'll ask him as soon as I'm home."
True to her word, when the lady arrived she told her husband about the broken reflector.
"I'll attend to it immediately," he said.
"Good," she replied. "And while you're at it, the policeman seemed to think there was something wrong with the emergency brake."
