//was probably//

Still, we need to know the definitive answer.

Really, you that dense?  Think Pixie the other day.  And dont tell me kneeler doesnt know what she was saying.

LAbout spin doctors caught out.

You really should know by now, you can't fit a square peg into a round hole.

Its this geezers parents that concern me,why were the parents allowed asylum,who was their legal representative,was their case funded by Legal Aid?A lot of questions regarding this nut,not a lot of answers.

We had some of our uber liberal members asking why we should put some blame on the parents the other day - what parents wouldn't know that kit (knives, crossbow, machete, chemicals) was in their house with their 17 year old legally considered child?? They have a lot to answer for.

Not just that Prudie,its the people who allowed the parents into the UK that are fault.Wasnt the father wanted for extradition by the Rwandan authorities for war crimes against his own people?The people who allowed this creatures parents into the UK have blood on their hands.

What does signing for a son's Amazon order prove?

It doesn't prove anything - but it suggests the son was buying something he shouldn't have been able to buy.  Did they know what they were signing for - and if so why did they hand the knife over to their son?

Has that claim been confirmed?

Methinks this geezers parents know more than what we are hearing.I hope we arent paying taxpayers money to them to keep them in the lap of luxury(though i think they prefer to live in squalor).

@14.38.Has it been unconfirmed?

Of course the Amazon deliveryman gave the knife  to an adult. Delivery personnel are as honest as the day is long.

That's because couriers in the States don't deliver packages. They dump them outside an address then run away instead. Getting that way here too.

“We had some of our uber liberal members asking why we should put some blame on the parents the other day…”

Indeed we did. And I suggested that his parents were at best negligent and possibly even complicit in his actions.

He was under 18. He could not have had a credit card and, with seemingly no visible means of support, it was unlikely he had a bank account with a debit card. So it is unlikely he could buy things online witthout somebody giving him credit/debit card details to use. The only way is by using a gift card bought with cash (in which case where did he get the cash?). It’s the first I’ve heard about the knife delivery but Amazon drivers are instructed to do an age check when delivering goods that are age restriced.

As well as that, he had the ricin ingredients delivered to his next door neighbour. She didn’t know what they were but asked his father to stop him having goods delivered to her address.

In his house were found at least two knives, a crossbow and a dozen arrows, a machete, and the ricin. Some of these items were found in his bedroom and others in what passed for a lounge. He owned two tablet devices and on these were found Images and documents relating to violence, war and genocide.

Yes lots of assumptions, I know, some of which may be unfounded. But ask yourself this: how many responsible parents would have a seventeen year old living with them whilst amassing an arsenal of lethal weapons and a quantity of highly toxic material – enough to kill many thousands of people – without their knowledge?

His parents may not have known what he was doing or planning. But it seems they didn’t keep much of an eye on what was going on in their house, especially in view of his behaviour when younger. I believe that at the very least they were negligent to the point of criminality.

He was known to health service mental services.  Perhaps his parents brought him to their attention.

Amazon delivered to me yesterday. Rang the bell and scarpered, left the parcel on my doorstep.

Whoever brought him to their attention, it achieved nothing whatsoever.

If it was his parents, they should have been particularly vigilent by making sure they were aware of what he was getting up to under their roof.

It is possible that the parents were frightened of the son.

It happens

//He was known to health service mental services.  Perhaps his parents brought him to their attention//

I wonder if they also brought to the attention of the police that he was having knives and ricin materials delivered and was storing weapons in their lounge? I think not. But why not? Maybe they approved?
