A Scotsman, an Irishman and a Chinese man were set on to work as labourers on a building site. They were taken to an enormous pile of rubbish by the foreman who explained that it must be moved. He told the Irishman he would be in charge of digging, the Scotsman he would be in charge of barrowing and the Chinese man would be in charge of supplies. He left them to their job and returned an hour later. When he saw the pile of rubble untouched and the Irishman and the Scotsman standing idly next to it, he asked what was going on. The Scotsman explained that the Chinese man had gone to get the supplies and had not returned, leaving the two standing with no tools. The foreman annoyed at this, storms away to find the Chinese man. As he passes the pile of rubble, the Chinese man springs out in front of him and shouts "Supplies!"
