Hymie & Abie
Hymie looked out of the window and saw his best and oldest friend Abie rushing down the road waving his hands and shaking his head in despair. He rushed outside.
"Abie, my best and oldest friend, votever puts you in such a way? Surely I can help."
"Hymie, not even you, my best and oldest friend, can help me. Mine only son Joshua is after coming back from only two months on the Kibbutz and he tells me "Papa, guess vot, I'm converted; I'm a Christian!" I'm on my way to the synagogue now to pray for his soul and enlightenment."
"Abie, didn't the same thing happen to me? MIne only son Moishe comes back yesterday after only a fortnight at the Kibbutz and tells me "Guess vot, Papa. I'm converted; I'm a Christian." I tell you vot, I come mitch you and we pray together."
At the Synagogue, Abie & Hymie were pleading their collective case "Oi, Abba Adoni, didn't our only sons come back from the Holy Land and tell us they were Christians?"
An ethereal light filled the Synagogue and a booming voice said, "Oi, didn't the same thing happen to me?"
