I can buy the fact that magic exists,& that there could be such things as unicorns & wizards.

Just find it odd that people should take exception to a hair colour. Bad enough that people discriminate against some skin colours, but it's just weird to exclude people cos of hair colour.

catcuddler, that's not quite the same. This is just a hair colour we are talking about. Is there an eye colour that people joke about? I just find it peculiar, rather than funny, that people discriminate over hair colour. It tells you a lot about the person who is telling the "joke" though.
To an extent, fatness is a choice. Hair colour is genetic, and what you're born with. I'm glad though, that you don't let fat jokes upset you. I see fat jokes as bitchy, but not as singularly odd as ginger jokes.

It's not actually funny. Don't worry I'm over it.
There's been some great jokes on answerbank inc Billysugger's last one that he put in "phrases and sayings". Jokes that include taking the p*ss out of people who are different in some way, (whether it's about people who are tall, short, black, fat or disabled) are very weak, and people who tell those sort of jokes are weak and insecure.
There are ways, believe it or not, of having fun, without putting other people down.

Yea i dont disagree with ya there that there are other ways of havin fun, but most people who have any sort of a sense of humor can sit back and laugh at it even if it could be poking fun at themselves. i.e fat people laughin at fat jokes.
Like im Irish and i think most of the Irish jokes on here are pretty funny.
A joke is made up to make people laugh no matter what its about and if people find them offensive or insulting then its best they stay away from the joke sections of websites.

Why should they dye their hair? I think you must be a bit strange to suggest that. These "putting other people down, to make yourself feel superior" jokes, are just playground fodder. They are more ammunition for the bullies. Anyway, each to their own. Some people are natural bullies, and some people are nice. End of.

It's just strange to suggest they should change their hair from their natural hair colour to avoid the p*ss taking.
Sorry to hear you were bullied. But don't join the "if you can't beat them, join them crew".
People are bullied for being different, all the time, and I think jokes like these fuel the bullying.
The vast majority of jokes on here are funny, so we don't need to resort to discriminatory jokes. They'll still be plenty of good jokes to laugh at.
