I am feeling fed up cos my tongue is still bruised and sore and swollen after the injection on Thursday. I can walk, operate machinery, do the paperwork, work in the stockroom, but I can't talk properly, so customers will think i am drunk or something, should i get someone to cover the department?

I'm in a serious mood and it hurts to laugh and so no amusing replies please lol

What have u done.....had it pierced? If u stay home you will suffer more with no pain distraction.

Go to work (employer will be grateful) & write notes of explanation.....employer will find more suitable work for u.

lol yes i had my tongue peirced with a rather fearsome syringe containing an anaesthetic and a lump removed from the surface. I took 4 days off work but it looks like I need a bit longer for it to settle down. i am the boss as i said, but I've paperwork to get in tomorrow, i might go in and hide in the office all morning then go home at lunch.
