I don't have a car at the moment. I see a car as a means from getting from A to B and nothing else. I would buy the cheapest possible regardless of make or model. These idiots who buy 4x4' to drive around London, ha ha ha mugs and posers.

a 21 year old VW Beetle..........she gets me and Mrs K to the supermarket and back, and bless her, she knows the way home from the what Mrs K calls the 'den of iniquity'
and what I call the pub - she says i come back from there with 'funny ideas' she's sewn up the front of me PJ's with button twine and feeds me bread and scrape.....I only suggested..., well put it this way, it didn't involve a sink plunger anyway....

I have a 4X4 more for where I take it out of town than for London but I was in Central London last week and it is very comfortable,roomy with a nice high view and above all - other drivers think twice before pulling out in front of you!

P.S. it runs on lpg so it's relatively cheap to fuel, eco-whatsit and avoids Congestion Charge.

I have a Punto, the present Mrs Hughes has a Nissan Note. we each love our cars, and neither of us especially enjoys driving the other's car.

I want a Punto Sport - i think that shade of yellow is just gorgeous.

Honda CRV ...
Works in 2 WD most of the time and 4 WD kicks in when required.
Was the only car in my close , to make it in and out the deep snow for 2 weeks.
Council did not clear snow of course and it turned to ice.
I also get 45mpg in the summer and 42mpg in the winter ...love it
