I'll do this here instead of on another thread that made me think of it. Does it annoy you when people use words in the wrong way or use the wrong word in a sentence?
For example, my boyfriend frequently says the word "went" instead of "gone". Like, "We could have went there". It reeealllly grates on me.
We go to meetings at work and play "*** Bingo" while the bosses are giving their speeches, Make yourself a bingo card with fives blank boxes on each of the top, middle and bottom lines. Inside each box write one of your bosses favourite sayings - Taking a helicopter overview, Just putting the meat on the bones, Blue sky thinking, focus group etc. Then mark them off as the boss says them but you have to be prepared to shout "House" out loud when you get a full line.
I cannot stand when everything is 'awesome' 'amazing' or 'fantastic', when they are describing something very mediocre such as a hairstyle or a sandwich!
Why oh why is everything a solution! Written on a van that parks near me...Dennison for your entrance solutions....That's a 'king door....... isn't it.......
