I'm an Essex boy, a bit of a geezer, well versed in the ol' cockney rhyming slang. Worked in Dublin for 10 years, they have their own rhyming slang but it aint half as well known. Who else has unknown rhyming slang?

Eddie, I had a run in with a Turkish bloke at work who said " You`re having a scooby"

I said "You mean Bubble"..he said "No scooby"

I tried to explain Scooby Doo = clue and Bubble Bath = Laugh but he wouldn`t have it

After work a few of us went to the pub, ordered some chips for the table. The barman came over and asked.... 'have you finished your jockies?' It took me right back to my childhood when my dad used to say it. :)
Why would a chap have a cudgel in his motor, I wonder. Is it that rough in Essex?
