thank you gift for teacher

my daughter is leaving her nursery this week and instead of buying a present i have helped her make something for the teacher to hang on her door handle out of paper mache... what kind of message or poem can i write on it for her...i thought of this but do not know if it really makes sence or is any good,
because you are so special this gift is made not brought,
thanks for all you did for me and everything you taught.

It was lovely but not expected (at least by me; I have heard of some teachers who feel entitled to presents!) the best one I got was a keyring made by the child; it was very simple; just a regular keyring with a string of beads attached but was definitely my favourite and the only one I really remember because of the effort that went in!
my son has five teaching assistants and two support staff, as well as two job-share teachers!
i asked him who he would like to give a present to, and he chose his two favourites. We bought them a little plant, to put in their garden, and laminated this:

For the many others, he wrapped up a few little chocolates, a keyring or two, and a couple of lip glosses. he took them in a bag with 'My thank you lucky dip' and they all picked something out. It didn't cost much and he was very happy.
