When throwing a frisbee or any other projectile, one tends to lean forward bearing weight in the front of the foot/toes then goes back to a normal standing position, making the foot/ankle act as a pivot point.
bartholomew, I've just done a bit of reasearch and the definition of 'pivot foot' is the foot used by a player to establish position on the field after gaining possession of the disc.
