What is the name of a cartoon shown in the early 90's that had several characters getting into a gold plane/ship thing shaped like an eagle - something to do with a golden cityu or something? Help!

Not quite sure but it could be mysterious cities of gold, wasn't there a geezer called esteban in it?
I think the plane was shaped like a condor-not an eagle. There was also a person called 'Towel'. I think goodsy's right about the name. Didn't the theme tune go:'I-I-I-I, ah-ah-ah?'
Been asking myself the same question for ages. Know exactly what cartoon your refering too but can't remember the name. Was running about the same time as Thundercats.
It WAS called The Mysterious Cities of Gold. I used to love that programme! It had this funky Spanish pan pipe type music at the start didn't it? There were 6 characters: Esteban, Zia, Tao, Mendoza, Pedro and Sancho and they all used to fly about in the Golden Condor. Not really sure what the whole point of it was but I was only about 10 at the time so no wonder I thought to fly about in a big golden bird type thing was pretty cool.
