When I was with my friends one day we accidentally came up with the word:

flibble

My friend then asked me:

What does that mean

I then said

I dunno, I think it doesn't have a meaning

My friends were quite annoyed by this but agreed but part of me thought that cant be right. The word does scare some people I know (dont ask why, I dont know) but not others. So my question is:

WHAT DOES FLIBBLE MEAN?

You know people who are 'scared' by the word 'flibble'???

Do elucidate.  Do they cower at its utterance?  Hold up crosses and garlic, that sort of thing?  Or just recoil a bit?

It means inprognogatory.
it's one tenth of a flobble in the Bongolian currency; unfortunately, actually having any has been illegal since the 1967 devaluation, so people are right to be scared.
There was  an episode of "Red Dwarf" where Rimmer's ill with a 'holo-virus'. In his dementia he creates a penguin glove puppet - called 'Mr Flibble'. ..only thing I know of......

Chinajan, answering your first question people actually run away from it but come back shortly after.

Ezapf, what does inpronogatory mean?

Jno, Where is Bongolia. is it a Planet or ancient country that no longer exists.

Commoner, Im a big Red Dwarf fan and sadly havn't seen that episode so it can't be that, sorry.

SuperPigeon, Bongolia is just east of Inprognogatoria. GPS doesn't apply there so it can be hard to find.
jno, I've just come back from Bognolya (this is the right spelling)-bought few GSP devices very cheap (just couple of flibbleaux, plural of flibble, but don't tell anyone)-these gadgets are powered by flogiston and they do work only in Bognolya. I was sent by The Sun to do some gonzoing about 'the last man standing after a drinking marathon'. They drink kumis (airag), but about 80 proof. And of course I was paid only 3.5 flobbezxy (plural). It was The Sun, remember.
I mean 'Bongolya'.
You are all wrong and know nothing, I have known this word since I was 5 years old, it is what Bill said to Ben every time they jumped out of their respective detached pots, huh, u know nowt.
jane you are a pioneer indeed, though I fear those cheap GPS thingies nearly got you in Bognolya by mistake (that's where they grow spaghetti bognolyese). However, it's good news that The Sun has foreign correspondents. Did you have to persuade the local maidens to get their prongilia off for Page 3?

Well, jno it was a close shave, luckily Wallace saved me. The Sun thought Bongolya is in Surrey (six miles south of Guildford), ie you are right, they don't have foreign correspondents (aliens, that is). They were (The Sun) very wicket in respect to maidens, and they said I was over with no runs scored. As the Bongolya wenches are quite refined in their choice of apparel (they are tattooed with the up to date FTSE indices (and thumbs 2), I sold their photos to FT. Bongolya is famous for their pink pigs on the wing (for chorizo). I had a ringside seat, so just let your fancy flow.

dothawkes, Bill and Ben used to say "flobalop"

I thought it was flobadob.

So, where is Bongylonfvfdj thingy anyways.

Ooo, wait a minute. Flibbleaux rings a bell. I once went on holiday to Google Freugle Pontifrakt and a Pontifraktion (the local inhabitants) said that Bongolya was 5 miles east of Google Freugle Pontifrakt and that they have been at war for over 200 years...                      but haven't actually fought each other yet.

Inprognogatoria is miles away from Google Freugle Pontifrakt so that can't be right but Czechoprogotaira was part of Inprognogatoria in the 1800's so it could have moved due to wars e.t.c.

Are we talking about the same universe here or a parrelell one to ours where all this exists?

dont know what those &.. e.t.c thingys are, I just put spaces in for effect
