As BlackadderV said, a preposition is a word you should never end a sentence with ;)
It was too good of you to explain that BlackadderV, but I'm unsure you have that 100% correct.
too means also, as well as
But also and as well as are synonyms. Where do you think I've gone wrong, OG?
From the example given the one substitute stated doesn't fit. It is also used to indicate more than necessary. Too hot. Too dirty.
The reason it doesn't fit is because too is wrong in the OP, so also would a incorrect. I take your pont about too meaning excessive, in fact I was just about to post a correction when you beat me to it.
My keyboard seems to have a mind of its own.
