The official antonym says "forfiet/loss/penalty" but that does not describe what I mean. if you climbed Everest and left picture of a family member up there for example, what would the word for that be? like a sort of reverse souvenir.

Totally agree Prudie all sensible suggestions totally ignored or the least not acknowledged. The sentence 'I left a vestige of my love at the place we used to visit' is appropriate to the OP's situation. If the OP had been a little less obtuse about the reason for the word they may have got more appropriate replies

It rather seems the blind hatred of TTT has overcome the actual posts. Certainly as far as I can tell from the posts TTT has thanked the sensible suggestions at least twice, hardly ignored.

Sometimes it does seem that personalities are mor at stake than the question, it also is very irritating when people nitpick and cannot (or probably deliberately dont want to) think further than every word written in the OP.

Where did you read the "official antonym"? Doesn't seem right to me.
The opposite of "souvenir" would be something that made you forget.
