I don't know the phrase, but - since you suspect it's rude - I'd guess it might be the equivalent of our own phrase "collar and cuffs". It is a vulgar reference to whether the colour of a woman's head hair matches her hair elsewhere!

Another euphanism for the 'collar and cuffs' is an aeroplane blonde i.e. one who has got a black box.
