Loads - try logophilia.com, also Michael Quinion's worldwidewords.org and www.geocities.com/etymonline. The Chambers Dictionary of Etymology is excellent and I believe Oxford publishes a similar one. The editor and lexicographer Jesse Sheidlower does a good Word of the day thing on the Web, with interesting searchable archives (can't remember the URL offhand, but easy to search for).

Thanks for that :-) whenever I try searching for one on Google the amount of sites that come back is overwhelming!
