Ian McGeechan writing in the Telegraph about Scotland's win over England wrote
"Should England have gone for the draw? Maybe. It was a difficult kick with the wind. But either way, England clearly thought if they could get into Scotland’s 22m they could get a penalty or more from lineout drives because they had dominated that part of the game, all game. And then Scotland came up with that lineout steal. Unbelievable.
It was no more than Scotland deserved."
Surely that means that Scotland were lucky and they did not deserve anything more than that .
Should he have said "It was no less than Scotland deserved" ? ie Scotland were rewarded for what they had done and would have been hard done by if they had lost.
I'm aways confused by the usage of "no more than deserved"

As long as SCOTLAND beat them thats all that matters.Send them homeward to think again.
Ah you a Scot MONEILL, or is it more "anyone but England"in your view?
Congrats to Scotland they did well to get the win, we had most of the territory and possession yet failed to get the points on the board. Slightly doubtful penalty try but fair enough I can see the reasoning. I would have gone for the kick for a draw at the end but I understand why they went for the line out. Sadly we messed that up and Scotland closed it out. It's good that they have learned to be clinical and logical when they play the worlds top sides. A few years ago they were losing games like this through naivety. So well done, now go on and get that grand slam.
Always ABE.
