I read in a book somewhere a quotation about Venice. The gist of it was that one chap told another that a female relative (or acquaintance) had been disappointed when she had visited Venice for the first time. The second chap said that he envied her her imagination. Can anyone direct me to the correct quotation and its source, please?

I've found the quote - it's in J G Links' book 'Venice for Pleasure'.
