With today being International Women's Day, I was expecting to find lots of retailers offering big discounts on ironing boards, vacuum cleaners and chip pans but there don't seem to be any at all! 🙄

I think the jokes about ironing boards, kettles etc died out about 20 years ago, as they should.  Not funny anymore.

I remember many years a go a neighbour gave his wife a new Electrolux vacuum cleaner for Christmas. She wasn't too impressed but became enraged when she discovered that the manufactures had also designed a spray gun attachment which fitted on to the other end of the machine. Her husband had bought that and used it to spray paint. I don't think she ever used it or got a more suitable present. I also think the following Christmas she gave him a very nice dress in her size.
