Some have vaginal lips that are quite large, and in some cases they do 'hang down' below the body, and are basically two folds of skin, or 'flaps' to use a less genteel adjective. This has come to refer in slang terms to all ladies' genitalia, whether they be of those dimensions, or likened unto a pair of rosebuds.
