Please can anybody tell me what ps stands for, i'e at the bottom of a letter. Ohh and i.e what does that stand for?? Thanks in advance

P.S. post scriptum. The abbreviation indicates a last-minute addition to a letter or document. Literally, "After what has been written." example : "That's all for now. Take care. Love, John. P.S. Don't forget to write me back!"

i.e. id est. "That is more precisely." Literally, "it is." Commonly used to refine a general statement or provide additional information.
example "Jerry's girlfriend always managed to turn the conversation toward children, i.e., the possibility of having children together; i.e., the possibility of having legitimate children together; i.e., toward the subject of marriage."

PS at the end of a letter means post script. Meaning that it has been added after the original script, after signing. (secretarial college paid off at last ;) )

That's right, i remember learning that in school when i was about 9 or 10, they mustn't teach that stuff anymore, still, i was the ink monitor too.

I was the quill and papyrus monitor, then I got promoted to a slate.

These days the kids in my class don't write at all. They use voice-to-text software.
