i presume you mean minion.. it is 1.An obsequious follower or dependent; a sycophant.
2.A subordinate official, especially a servile one.
3.One who is highly esteemed or favored; a darling.
If you mean minion it's a servant, employee, etc. Hardly swearing, though it does have a slightly derogatory connotation.
obsequious being someone who is full of compliance. got to www.answers.com its an online dictionary, and very good indeed!
Isn't definition 1 and 3 contradictory?
why is everyone saying it? It must be a 'local' thing to you gale.

Sometimes a super-villain has minions -- his loyal followers who do whatever he tells them. Those minions might also be specially favored, a sort of "teacher's pet" -- like Mini Me in the Austin Powers movies. I suspect that, if "minion" has become popular slang in Gale's circles, it probably came from a movie like that. I can imagine that a popular person might attract her "minions" to a certain party or club.

Just in case we've all misinterpreted the crowd Gale hangs with...

There's also MINYAN, the minimum number of ten adult Jewish men required for a communal religious service.
