1. "Can you 'ear me mother" was Sandy Powell's catch phrase. Sandy was a music hall star and entertained the troops in WW2.
2. �The day war broke out my missus said to me ..�� was the beginning of Rob Wilton's stories and monologues.
3. "Can I do you now, Sir?" is a famous catchphrase, from ITMA (It�s That Man Again). It was said by Mrs Mopp (Dorothy Summers), the hoarse-voiced charlady or "corporation cleanser", when entering the office of Tommy Handley (who was the star of the show).
