There was a bloke on Who Wants To Be a Millionaire a couple of years ago who said he'd toyed with the idea of answering the first question wrong on purpose just so he could be the numpty of the north. Of course he didn't, but he did answer the �1000 question wrong (not on purpose) and so he did end up being the numpty of the north

I remember the girl a few years back who answered the �500 question wrong, she thought a senior cleric was a "Marsupial" rather than a "Primate". From then on it was known as a "Marsupial moment"!
