Ben is extremely famous ' you'd recognize his face instantly. Although Ben's home is situated near the water, its been attacked by land and air many times in the past; you can imagine then that is why he has security guards stationed outside his home 24 hours a day. It's quite surprising that Ben constantly entertains visitors, poses for photographs, and goes about his business without thinking about future attacks. Have any of you seen Ben?

For all of the question substitute Stephen for Ben, then riddle would be accurate. The facade of Saint Stephens tower is famous. The clock face suffered from shrapnel/ stray bullets in world war two. The bell, "Big Ben" is looked after, (guarded) only because it is part of St Stephens Hall.
I was thinking exactly the same thing football as I was reading as I know Big Ben is the name of the bell. Although its still a cool riddle jessewinner :) I didn't know it was Stephens tower though - can anyone tell me why the bell was called Ben though? Alway wondered that.
The name 'Big Ben' was first applied to the original hour bell cast by Warners. There is no firm evidence of the origin of this name, but it may have derived from Sir Benjamin Hall, Commissioner of Works who was involved with the project and who was a man of considerable size. The name was also applied to the recast hour bell and has since come to indicate not just the bell, but also the clock and the clocktower. Quoted from-http://www.bigben.freeservers.com/history.html
I know it's something to do with the Clerk of Works being called Benjamin Something-Orother, but I can't be bothered to Ask Jeeves. Over to you Quizmonster :-)
