Aintree Iron said to be Brian Epstein because they referred to him as an *iron hoof* - cockney slang for a poof. Also said to refer to Tommy Smith because he was an iron man. Also to refer to Aintree racecourse which looks like a flat iron from above.

well, hush everyone; thanks for support Brawburd [i can't help but agree with you] and drochit's reply i presume was a mere prank, 'n i done plenty of that. However, the webpage (s)he's linked to seems possibly dodgy and would feel better if you all DON'T CLICK it. Thanks for your good and starred reply drochit about Aintree Iron and don't worry about jolly roger i will repost. So all just leave it now, right or 'someone' might get mad and post surplus Q's in this category to drop this one off the list a bit quicker, sounds like a good idea but not fair on those further down the list, so cease and desist, ok?
