Hi suzie, did this at school about a hundred years ago - 'the coward dies a thousand deaths, the brave man tastes of death but once' It's from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar

ooooh thank you.

is there any possibility that it has changed over time and now has the word hero. Im sure that is what i heard it was, maybe im wrong...
much appreciated
Hi suzie, I Googled this and found it had been quoted (and misquoted) many times but no-one seems to have used the word 'hero', they all use the term 'brave man'
And that turns out to be wrong as well, because the actual Shakespearian wording is 'Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant taste of death but once'
So I got it a bit wrong as well. It IS from Julius Caesar though...

many thanks, really helps
