another line goes:

which sets me free
from whomsoever's definition

Does it mean 'from a definition at random" or 'from a definition anyone might offer'? I feel it means 'it sets me free from all possible definitions' but after that she goes on and defines herself in three words...

Yes, 'whomsoever's' means 'anyone else's' ...the writer means that she is free to define herself rather than just accept someone else's idea of who she is.
