Why do people say, 'the thing is, is that .. ' instead of 'the thing is, that ... ' It really annoys me ...

For the same reason as they say "PIN number", when the 'N' actually stands for 'number', I guess!

What annoys me more is when ppl say "I dont know nothink " or "anythink" instead of nothing or anything....All those years at school..what a waste. Mind you i bet most of them would spell it right if you asked them!! They just cant say it, {or speak proper like wot i do}
