I hope that my spelling is correct but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong! A man who dislikes women is called a mysogonist but what is the name for a woman who hates men? I'm sure I'll have to plough through lots of funny comments before I get a sensible answer but I'm prepared to pay the price!!!!

Actually a misogynist is a person who hates women, not specifically a man. And similarly a misandrist is a person who hates man, not specifically a woman.

It'd be more accurate to say a misandrist is someone who hates men rather than man. 'Man' used in that sort of context normally means 'mankind'...the entire human race. Such a person is, of course - as J2B claims to be - a misanthrope or misanthropist.
