A la carte, maybe? Or does it mean something else? It's the only phrase that comes to mind!

"Prix fixe" or "le menu". ("A la carte" is, on the contrary, a meal chosen from the full "carte", which confusingly is "menu" in English.)

table d'hote is the same as prix fixe or menu fixe. a la carte is the full menu of separately priced items

Nowadays you only see 'menu' in this context in France. The restaurants offer various 'menus' at set prices each with a small number of choices at each course. The true prix fixe where you have no choice at all at each course died out some years ago .outside of caterers' prix fixe deals for weddings and the like.,
