I suppose I should of been surprised when my 9 year old said that a boy in her class said F*+!ING Hell when he couldnt get his yoghurt lid of at school (in front of the dinner lady) but none of them know what the F word means - just thats its a swear word!
Are you offended by it then deethiem?

i suppose i am not really personally offended by it unless it was said to me to be hurtful way. Just that the f word isn't really a word but yet people took offence to it. I agree that it is getting less ofensive and is more in our everyday vocabulary. maybe one day no-one will bother about the fword anymore and it will just be as common as 'can' or 'it' !?
l was brought up to understand that the Fword was offensive and l certainly think it is now even after these many years have gone by,my children have all been brought up on it being offensive, they never say it in my hearing but l kn ow they have said it too their friends, as they tell me it is more acceptable now, l do not agree, it will if always be offensive and if in my hearing l hear it l have tosay something to the person whether l know them or not, and unfortunately have had other offensive wods said back, in my mind l think that people who use the word are just plain ignorant of proper english, and as using it for a term of sex is absolutely deploable, it is more acceptable and people just let it go by and that is why it is said more, again to my mind, if people said something when they hear it the user might well think again eventually, FINGERS CROSSED.
