Polite word for female sexual part

Is there a slang word for vagina that is not offensive or crude. An inoffensive slang word for penis would be willy, but is there an equivalent for the female bit?

I used to work with a very well spoken lady, who abhorred slang and any sexual reference, who quite happily called it her 'box'. What's acceptable is all in the user's mind, I suppose.

as a kid we sisters always called it a 'Minnie'

by far the nicest description. Our brothers bits were called 'Mickey's' I can only presume it was after Minnie and Micky mouse. So that in childrens terms our mother knew who or what we were refering to.
