Lady Bits

So my lady wife and I were chatting over tea and crumpets about the state of the nation, rising interest rates etc, and got to talking about names for lady bits. Now there are dozens, but my question is this - are there any that don't sound medical, gross, bloody rude or just silly? I mean, what would you suggest as a realistic descriptive word that we could adopt as the metaphor for hers? Note that she's ruled out vagina as an ugly word.

There is no finer, more friendly, enticing or comforting word to describe this bit of femininity than the old RAF word (also used by The Goons), MINGE. It rolls off the tongue, may be used in polite company, sounds like a furry little friend, is absolutely non-threatening -- and is certainly better than the crude names one hears in saloons and beer halls around the nation, what?!
