One of the most famous of acronyms is 'SPQR', which was borne aloft by Rome's legions. It stood for 'Senatus Populusque Romanus', meaning 'The Senate and People of Rome'. Hence, your suggestion is not 'wrong', but it is no more right - perhaps even a little less right in a 'motto'-type situation - than mine. Cheers
