Two Hopes - Bob Hope and No Hope

Along with Piers Morgan, several people still use this comment even though Bob has passed away. Could (or should) continued use of this quip be considered in bad taste?

Bob might have liked the fact that his name has passed into international vocabulary. I can remember Sterling Moss saying that he thought it was great that policemen (and others) say "who do you think you are..Sterling Moss?" and was particularly pleased when a policeman pulled him and said it to him.
